Elected Positions for the 2012 eChapter Ballot

PRESIDENT ELECT
(Three year commitment)
One year each as President-Elect, President, Past President
|
|
|
Prerequisite: Candidate must have previously served as a member of the Board of Directors
Duties of the President-Elect include:
- Prepare to lead the organization as President the following year
- Assists the President as needed
- Chairs meetings (Board and Annual) in the absence of the President.
- Delegate Chair at Congress (Board members attending Congress will assist)
- Board liaison to the Webmaster/Web Task Force
- Lead annual update of Operating Policies
- Submits annual report and budget recommendations
- As President, chairs Board and eChapter meetings, appoints committee chairs, represents eChapter at Congress, and guides the growth and development of eChapter
- As Past President, serves as Advisor to the Nominating Committee and chairs the Strategic Planning Committee

SECRETARY
(Two year commitment)

|
|
Prerequisite: Candidate must have facility with Microsoft Word which eChapter uses for minutes
Duties of the Secretary include:
- Takes minutes at Board and Chapter meetings; submits to the Webmaster for posting in a timely fashion
- Documents Board discussions conducted by email and includes a summary of the discussion in the minutes of the subsequent Board meeting
- Submits annual report and budget recommendations

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
(Two year commitment)
Two to be elected
|
|
Duties of Board Members include:
- Participate actively in all leadership discussions and decision-making
- Serve as liaison and ex-officio member of assigned committees/task forces
- Submits annual report and budget recommendations
|
|
NOMINATING COMMITTEE
(Two year commitment)
Two to be elected
|
|
Duties of Nominating Committee include:
- Identify potential leaders - encourage members to participate in leadership positions
- "Market" opportunities to members via e-mail and website
- Develop a slate of candidates for eChapter offices/Nominating Committee
- Encourage members to vote
- Chair submits annual report and budget recommendations
