eChapter # 9991, was formed, initially as a temporary project, after Congress in April 2000, to address the concerns of AORN members who could not participate in an established AORN CHAPTER. Less than 9 months later eChapter had 180 members. At the present time there are more than 3,000 members, and our delegate allocation for Congress 2010 is 87 eChapter delegates! eChapter is alive and well and living all over the world!! The present Board of eChapter has representation from many regions of the USA as well as England and Canada.
If you know perioperative nurses who would like to join this creative, energetic, friendly, professional group, invite them! We are still in the “forming” stages of team development, exploring many exciting ideas on how to meet the needs of our members. We are a virtual chapter; therefore a current working email address is critical to reach our members. Please contact any one of the Board of Directors or Committee Chairs to share or discuss your needs and interests in eChapter. There is always room for new, enthusiastic volunteers for committee work and leadership positions.
