7/1/2010 - March, April & May I worked on the blankets while on a long term assignment in Mass. They kept me warm and it warmed my heart to make something for our troops. .

4/5/2010 - Joy Don Baker's mom made these quilts for the troops. We counted nine quilts that she had made in total to send to the troops for eChapter.

12/12/09 - It has taken me and a friend of mine (Melanie Kym Chapman, LPN) a few months to make a total of six blankets for our troops, all crocheted with love in our hearts for those men and women injured while protecting our freedom here at home.

12/12/09 - Here's one that I did. It has folded stars in the design areas and quilting is of stars.

3/3/09 - Two more blankets going out today! I challenged some friends to donate $20. to cover the cost of the material, I will make them and mail them. So far I am up to 6 blankets for the e-chapter project.

Please share my thanks to the E-Chapter for starting this meaningful and worthwhile project. It has provided me a way to share my love and appreciation to someone who has sacrificed so much.

I want to report that I have completed two blankets for our troops! The blankets were made of a multi-color "star" pattern and royal blue fleece. I encourage other members to take time to participate, make a blanket! The fleece blanket is so easy and fun to do... it's as simple as tying a knot!

Be creative, share a part of yourself with someone else!

We made 2 blankets while watching the Super Bowl and cheering for the AZ Cardinals. Attached is the picture and the blankets are being sent off this week. Everyone thought this was a great idea - to do something for the troops and were happy to participate.

Nicole (Nicki) Vaughan
Thanks, this was a wonderful idea. I sent this blanket off this week.

I would love to participate again.

What a great idea! An opportunity to do something I enjoy and support our troops at the same time.

My sister and I made six fleece blankets and I am going to mail them today.

My sister has an embroidery machine and we put an American flag and "Thank You" on the blankets. We are so excited to be able to do something for our troops. We are so proud of them and grateful to them. This gives us a way to give back in a very small way.

Thank you for providing us with this way to show our gratitude.

My husband just forwarded your e-mail about making blankets for the troops. I am almost in tears knowing that I finally have a way of helping them, doing something I enjoy. I have put my lap blanket quilting away because I have lost my interest. I have a few to catch up on, but this project is the shot in my arm that I need..... Thanks again for the great idea. My nephew came back two years ago safe from harm's way and they have a darling son now who has no idea where his Dad has been for his freedom.
